EMIL ECKSTROM DIES IN MOLINE

Geneseo Farmer Passes After Lingering Illness; Aged 65

Geneseo, July 29. - Emil J. Eckstrom, 65, who operated a farm near
Geneseo the last fifteen years, died at 4 yesterday afternoon in the Moline
Lutheran hospital, after a lingering illness. He was a charter member of the
Colona Masonic lodge.
Mr. Eckstrom was born in Philadelphia Sept. 9, 1869. He married Mary
Ingram in Moline Jan. 26, 1898. Mr. Eckstrom had farmed in Henry county many
years.
Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Irene Mercer of Geneseo; one
son, LeRoy Eckstrom of Geneseo; a sister, Mrs. Amanda Anderson of Pomona,
Cal.; one brother, Charles Eckstrom of St.Charles and five grandchildren.
The body was removed to Wendt Brothers' funeral home, Moline, pending
futher funeral arramgements.
